How is life coaching different to other talk therapies such as counselling?

A counsellor listens to their client tell their story. The counsellor deals with issues and problems, often looking at past experiences and how those experiences impact on current behaviours. There is not a defined goal from the outset, instead the counsellor listens and asks questions, whilst the client dictates the path the journey takes.

What happens in a life coaching session?

A life coaching session is totally focussed on you - the client. At the outset of the session both of us will know what you want to achieve during that session. This is a starting point, the original goal, but that may change during the session, and that is ok as sessions are flexible with nothing cast in stone. The session may be spent talking about how a desired outcome could be reached or we may work through some tools and techniques for the you to use in future.

What will I gain from life coaching?

You will become unstuck! You will have a clear picture of who you are and how you can achieve what you want from life. You will understand why you think the way you do, why certain patterns are repeated, and you will have the tools and resources you need to realise your life dreams.

Can I have my sessions online?

Yes, Lynn offers online and face to face life coaching, to make sure your sessions fit in with your other life commitments.

Cost per session £40

Reiki Therapy

What is reiki and how does it work?

Reiki is a Japanese word for universal life force energy. Reiki is an energy healing system built on many ancient principles and traditions.

It works on the principle of an energy flow that's transferred from the practitioner to the recipient. The energy will then balance the recipient’s energy centres (chakras).

Reiki is a traditional, safe, non-intrusive complementary therapy dating back to 1922 when Mikao Usui founded his first reiki clinic and school in Tokyo.

Is it spiritual?

Yes, it is spiritual as it works on your spiritual, emotional, mental and physical bodies.

Can reiki treat physical ailments?

Reiki can be an effective complementary therapy alongside traditional medicines. However, reiki does not replace medications or treatments prescribed by a medical professional.

What happens in a reiki session?

During a reiki session, energy is transferred from me to you, in a safe, non-intrusive and non-manipulative practice. You will be laying on the treatment bed, fully clothed, whilst I both lightly touch the shoulders and head, and use my hands above the body to transfer energy.

Cost per session £40

Or £140 for 4 sessions

What is crystal healing?

Crystal healing is a traditional, safe, non-intrusive complementary therapy. The therapy uses the vibrational energy of crystals to unblock and redirect energy. It is used alongside Reiki and is not a replacement for conventional medicine.

Does it work alongside reiki?

Crystal healing works hand in hand with reiki. The use of crystals boosts the energy of a reiki treatment.

What are the benefits?

There are so many benefits of using crystals, here are just a few:

  • Lowering blood pressure

  • Supporting healing

  • Improving your mood

  • Removing energy blockages

Crystals vibrate, and the rate at which they vibrate is different for each type of crystal. The crystals vibrations work alongside the vibrations of our energy centres (chakras).

The vibration of a crystal is stable, unlike our own vibrations (when we are out of balance), so using crystals can help to stabilise and raise our energy vibrations.

What happens in a crystal healing session?

The session is carried out in the same way as a reiki session, it is safe, non-intrusive and non-manipulative. You will be laying on the treatment bed, fully clothed, whilst I both lightly touch the shoulders and head, and use my hands above the body.

Cost per session £45

Or £155 for 4 sessions

Why should I choose a personal trainer instead of the gym?

It may be that you feel intimidated in a large gym environment, or you may feel the gym experience is overwhelming. You may want the 1:1 attention to ensure you are doing exercises correctly, or maybe you would prefer a personal programme that is specifically designed to meet your needs. When clients work with me, I start with an initial consultation so I fully understands their lifestyle and what they want to achieve.

How does personal training work?

Before I can help you, we will work together to understand what you want to achieve. Part of this initial conversation includes understanding your lifestyle, what type of exercise you have previously done and any barriers to exercising.

I prepare bespoke programmes for my clients with realistic goals that we decide between us. I work with you, supporting and motivating you to reach those goals, and I always make sure you're getting what you want from our sessions.

What can I expect from a PT session?

We will work through your training programme that's tailored to your needs, but we can be totally flexible so if there's an exercise that doesn’t suit you, we'll change it! Your programme will be geared to help you meet your fitness goals – it will contain weekly progressions, so you will always be working towards those goals! My job is to motivate and support you throughout.

Cost per session £30

The first step to reaching your goals is getting in touch, then we can work together to realise and achieve what you really want from life.
